A Tale of Too Many Buses

After we got to our hotel and got all checked in, we headed to a church where a friend of Pastor's serves. Thankfully we gave ourselves enough extra time so that even though we had to wait a while for the bus, we were still on time to get to the church in time for the service.

Until we got off the bus and figured out that the bus stop was not right across the street from the church, but was, in fact, a mile and a half from the church.

Oh well, at least we will only be a little late for church. Except that we walked a mile and a half the wrong way. Then we walked back to the bus stop and decided that we weren't going to get to church in time, so we might as well head back to the hotel.

Sounds easy, right? Well, it is unless in the process of trying to get back to the hotel you miss at least a half dozen buses before finally getting on the one that we take you where you need to go.

Eventually we got back to the hotel and then some of us decided to eat supper on the Riverwalk. We ate at a nice little mexican place of which I neglected to get more than one picture of. Oh well, here is a picture of those of us who didn't want to order pizza like the rest of the group.

Waiting for our food.
As if that wasn't enough waiting for buses, the next day we took the bus to Sea World. This time we had to wait an hour for the bus, but once we were on, it took us straight to where we needed to go.

On the way to the bus stop, we invented a new game. Grace calls it canopy hopping. The rules are simple run from one canopy to the next and wait for the whole group to catch up and let the map reader read the map so we know where to go. Then proceed to the next canopy and repeat the process until you get to your desired destination.

On the bus the day before, we had a man tell us that during this time of year in San Antonio, it never gets below 80 degrees. Well, what do you know, the next day we wake up and it is 71 degrees and pouring
Thankfully the rain stopped by the time we reached Sea World, but it still stayed 75 degrees and partly cloudy for the rest of the day, so that was nice.

I took too many pictures at Sea World to fit them all into one post so I will have to put them in a different post. After I am finished catching up with posts, maybe we can return to our regularly scheduled(non-lame) programming. ;)
