That'd be a reference to Smaug the Terrible

If you don't know already, Grace and mom and I went up to Minnesota this past weekend to celebrate the premiere of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug by going to the midnight showing in costume. We joined our friends from Minnesota(the ones who hosted to party) and Nebraska. We had a fun-filled weekend that consisted of homemade games, movie-inspired food, and of course, anything and everything else related to Middle Earth.

Just a few points from last weekend(besides the fact that it was purely amazing and I never wanted it to end).
-Frantically trying to finish decorations and games on the drive up to our friend's house
-Realizing that the thing you have waiting for for at least a year is less than 12 hours away. (!!!)
-Fish and Chips
-Playing Lord of the Rings Trivial Pursuit
-Opening awesome gifts and goody bags from awesome friends.(See above pictures of Pez dispensers         and "All that is Gold" box along with the goody bag.)
- Putting our costumes on 4 hours before the premiere because we couldn't wait any longer.
-Unveiling our costumes to the other families and watching them unveil theirs. :)
-Taking group pictures before braving the cold.
-Filling a dry erase board with quotes from the Hobbit interspersed with LotR quotes.
- Being the only people in the entire theater in costume.
-Having people freak out about your costumes because of the above stated fact.
-Watching as Peter Jackson brought Middle Earth to life yet again.
-Sitting through a three hour movie that began at midnight and still staying up for another hour and a half while we drove back to the Mumme's and still after that talking about the movie and our thoughts about it until we were told that, "It's 4:30 in the morning, you should probably go to bed." Yeah, probably, but the weekend wasn't long enough anyway, so we were just trying to make the most of it. We can sleep later when their less exciting things to be done. :)

Well, that's all for now but I will have another couple posts for you about the party and movie. And you can expect a movie review sometime before the end of the year, but please don't be mad at me if that doesn't happen in a timely manner.
