Nativity Display

Isn't she a cutie?

I did start writing this post at the beginning of December, but seeing as I forgot about it, I guess I will post it now, when we are almost to February. :)

Every year our church has a nativity set display. Some of the sets have been donated to the church by members but others are brought in right around the time when some of the ladies start setting them up around the church. The ladies also host an open house so people can come and look at all the nativity sets.

They have been doing this for a couple of years but this is the first time that I have taken pictures. I like how they turned out. What do you think?

So, mom wanted to send out a Chirstmas card. The only problem was that we didn't really have a good picture that was anywhere near recent. So, since we needed one so that mom could get the cards ordered so that they might be mailed by the end of January, we took my camera and sat it up in the backyard on a tripod. All that we had to do was get positioned and have Grandma(who lives a half mile down the road) press the button for us. 

This is what resulted from spending about 20 minutes out in the cold with no coats. We might have gotten more but everyone except me was cold and wanted to return to the warmth of the house. :)

This is the one we used for our Christmas card.
